Dynamics of a buoyant pulsating bubble near two crossed walls

چکیده
The dynamics of a buoyant pulsating bubble near two crossed perpendicular rigid boundaries (a horizontal and vertical wall) are studied using the boundary element method combined with mirror images. Kelvin impulse elastic mesh velocity used to calculate direction volume liquid jet generated during collapse. numerical results show good agreement experiments. An increase in buoyancy causes local high-pressure zone at root move toward bottom bubble, causing rotate upward wall. At certain position, change buoyancy, dimensionless instant impact reaches minimum when is horizontal, peak occurring. A comprehensive parametric study characteristics, including direction, velocity, relative (the ratio impact), carried out terms standoff distances walls. Blake criterion can be judge whether pointing obliquely or downward, provided that it deviates significantly from direction. Depending on characteristics different found exhibit three distinct patterns behavior. Finally, we discuss changes as varied.

Living Near de Sitter Bubble Walls
We study various bubble solutions in string/M theories obtained by double Wick rotations of (non-)extremal brane configurations. Typically, the geometry interpolates de Sitter space-time × non-compact extra-dimensional space in the near-bubble wall region and the asymptotic flat Minkowski space-time. These bubble solutions provide nice background geometries reconciling string/M theories with de...
متن کاملDynamics of a vapor bubble near a thin elastic plate
Numerical and experimental results show that during the collapse phase of a vapor bubble near a rigid boundary, in the absence of strong buoyancy forces, a liquid micro jet is developed on the side of the bubble far from the rigid surface and directed towards it. Numerical and experimental results also show that, in the case of a bubble near a free surface, during the collapse phase of the bubb...
متن کاملVelocity of Electroweak Bubble Walls
We study the velocity of bubble walls in the electroweak phase transition. For several extensions of the Standard Model, we estimate the friction and calculate the wall velocity, taking into account the hydrodynamics. We find that deflagrations are generally more likely than detonations. Nevertheless, for models with extra bosons, which give a strongly first-order phase transition, the deflagra...
متن کاملThe Centaurus A Northern Middle Lobe as a Buoyant Bubble
We model the northern middle radio lobe of Centaurus A (NGC 5128) as a buoyant bubble of plasma deposited by an intermittently active jet. The extent of the rise of the bubble and its morphology imply that the ratio of its density to that of the surrounding ISM is less than 10−2, consistent with our knowledge of extragalactic jets and minimal entrainment into the precursor radio lobe. Using the...
متن کاملOptical monitoring of bubble size and shape in a pulsating bubble surfactometer.
The pulsating bubble surfactometer (PBS) is often used for in vitro characterization of exogenous lung surfactant replacements and lung surfactant components. However, the commercially available PBS is not able to dynamically track bubble size and shape. The PBS therefore does not account for bubble growth or elliptical bubble shape that frequently occur during device use. More importantly, the...
